As the seconds tick by, technology is becoming more advanced. I believe technology is a necessity in the classroom for the students because they are living in the 21st century- "The Age of Technology." Technology can help students be creative with creating presentations with PowerPoint, making videos, and music using garage band. Technology can also help the students get ready for the work force whether its at a fast food restaurant or being a Doctor. Technology keeps advancing and we should not hide it from students because whether they like it or not they will need it outside of school. Everything is becoming technologically advance.

Technology, however, should be limited to an extent. I want my students to be technology literate. If teachers let the students have free reign over technology, then the students will not be learning everything they should learn. The students need to be able to  understand all the programs on the computer as well as how to do a web search quickly and finding an ethical website to back up their claim, or answer. 

Technology is very important in the classroom, but in the end I don't want the students to depend on technology. I want the students to also experience school the way it was before technology became a norm. I want to show my teacher blackboards, overhead projectors, and experience Educational movies on a rolling TV. Educators cannot allow students to overlook the past when it comes to learning. In the end, my philosophy and my agenda in the classroom will consist of technology in order to teach my students to become technologically literate as well as using the old fashion technology that I was taught with to show my students that you can survive without an iPhone, a computer, and/or a smart board.
